    2025 Women in Industrial Relations Breakfast


    The Industrial Relations Society of Western Australia is very excited to invite you to our 2025 Women in IR Breakfast. Join us again at Fraser's Restaurant, Kings Park overlooking the beautiful Swan River.


    This year’s theme is "Growth" – Personal stories from some incredible women about where their career in IR has taken them.

    Have you ever wondered what constitutes the good conduct of matters before the Fair Work Commission? Deputy President Beaumont will discuss this topic - providing references to case law, case types, and issues that practitioners commonly encounter.


    Deputy President Beaumont:

    Abbey Beaumont was appointed to the position of Deputy President of the Fair Work Commission in August 2017. Alongside this position, she previously served as Chair of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Remuneration Tribunal.

    Prior to her appointment to the Commission, Abbey worked as the Human Resources Corporate and Employee Relations Manager at Fortescue Metals Group Ltd, and sat on the Board Reference Group for the Australian Mines and Minerals Association and the Industrial Relations Advisory Group for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA.

    Abbey has worked in both private practice and government as a legal advisor.
