Individual membership is for practitioners working in workplace employment relations, human resources, labour law, dispute settlement, conflict resolution and related fields in Western Australia and those engaged in industrial relations research or teaching.

Concession membership is for students engaged in tertiary study in workplace employment relations, human resources, law or related fields in Western Australia, and for those unemployed or retired.

RSWA is a member of ALERA. ALERA is governed by an Executive Committee made up of representatives from the affiliated States and Territory bodies. ALERA brings together representatives of trade unions, employers, Government, the legal profession and academics and to both organise and foster discussion, research, education and publication within the field of industrial and workplace relations.
