IRSWA Advocacy Course 2026

The Industrial Relations Society of Western Australia is please to announce the the IRSWA Advocacy Course for 2026.

This course is designed for human resources, industrial relations practitioners and lawyers to develop and enhance their skills in the art of advocacy.  

The program is a skill based program directed at advocacy skills for commission appearances. The course is a great opportunity for new advocates looking to learn and obtain practical experience and experienced advocates seeking to refresh their skills.

With WA Commission Members adjudicating and supported by interstate facilitators (Chris O'Grady KC and Leigh Howard, barrister both from the Victorian Bar) who facilitate this course for other Industrial Relations Societies. This course is not to me missed!

Limited spots are available with first preference to IRSWA Members. 

Costs include course material, catering, refreshments and networking opportunities.

Friday 20 November 2026 (approx. 10am - 3pm but it may be worth keeping the full day free) - Exchange Tower, 2 The Esplanade, Perth
Saturday 21 & Sunday 22 November 2026 (all day) - 111 St Georges Tce, Perth
Friday Dinner - Petition - State Buildings, Corner of St Georges Tce & Barrack Street, Perth
