Workplaces have been seeking to respond to domestic violence in various ways. In recent years, governments have responded with laws and regulations affecting how workplaces should consider the issue.

Join The Piddington Society and Industrial Relations Society of Western Australia for a discussion with employer and employee advocates, as well as a domestic violence service, on the legal issues at play and the broader social and community services context.

The event will be opened by Magistrate Belinda Coleman. Magistrate Coleman sits in both the Central Law Courts and as an Industrial Magistrate. She was previously a Magistrate in Bunbury. Before her appointment in 2017, Magistrate Coleman was a State Prosecutor and had worked in commercial law and as a police officer.

Light refreshments and non-alcoholic drinks will be served after the presentation. Please note dietary requirements when purchasing your ticket – where possible they will be accommodated.

Speakers:
