Breakfast Seminar - Bullying Complaints in the Fair Work Commission: A Practical Approach
The IRSWA is pleased to invite members to attend a seminar on bullying complaints in the Fair Work Commission presented by Samantha Maddern and hosted by Herbert Smith Freehills.
From 1 January 2014 employees have a new avenue for lodging bullying claims through the Fair Work Commission. This new jurisdiction provides a cheap and accessible option for employees to take their bullying complaints outside their organisation’s grievance process. This seminar will look at how the jurisdiction has been working in practice, the rationale for its creation, how employees should prepare their claims, and what steps employers can and should be taking now to respond to bullying complaints and deal with workplace bullying.
The presenter of the seminar, Samantha Maddern, is an Executive Counsel at Herbert Smith Freehills with more than 20 years’ experience in employee relations, industrial relations and human resource management.
When: 7.30am-9am, Tuesday 27 May 2014. A light breakfast will be served.
Where: Herbert Smith Freehills - QV1 Level 36, 250 St Georges Terrace.
