Seminar - Mutual Trust and Confidence
The IRSWA is pleased to invite members to attend a practical seminar entitled Mutual Trust and Confidence hosted by Allens Linklaters.
In a recent landmark decision, the Full Federal Court upheld that there is an implied term of mutual trust and confidence in every employment contract. This term has been expressed as a requirement that an employer will not, without reasonable cause, conduct itself in a manner likely to destroy or seriously damage the relationship of confidence and trust between employer and employee. What this means in practice will depend on the nature of the specific relationship, making its application complex.
In this seminar Eleanor Jewell (Special Counsel - Allens Linklaters) will consider the implied term of mutual trust and confidence in relation to other implied terms, such as employees' implied obligations to act in the best interests of their employers and implied terms to protect confidential information.
When: 6.00pm to 8.00pm (registration from 5:30pm), Wednesday 30 April 2014
Where: Allens Linklaters, Level 37 QV1 250 St Georges Terrace Perth
Please join us after the seminar for light refreshments.
